Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get my child baptised?

Each Parish has someone looking after preparation of parents so contact one of the Parish Offices several weeks ahead of when you would like to have your child baptised, and the secretary will help you with the details.

How do I find out more about the Catholic Church?

While a programme (R.C.I.A.) runs in the Pastoral Area once a year, often people have sought and received a series of booklets (obligation free) from the Catholic Enquiry Centre to start off.  A call to a Parish Office for further information will always be welcomed.

I am not a Catholic, but I wish to marry a Catholic, what do I have to do?

It is best make an appointment to talk with a priest – without any obligation – about your particular situation as there can be so many variables.
