First Communion Celebration on the Feast of Christ the King
This was a special day for fourteen children and their families celebrating not just a religious rite of passage, but also the ongoing journey of their faith. Nine children, at Sacred Heart church, and five children, at St Peter Chanel church, embarked on a significant milestone in their faith journey by making their First Communion.
On the path leading to this special day the children learned about the significance of the Eucharist and the importance of their relationship with Jesus. Fr. Marcus and Fr. Vijay celebrated the Masses. Their homily emphasised the importance of the Eucharist and the significance of receiving the Body and Blood of Christ for the first time. The children received their certificates and were congratulated and encouraged to continue growing in their faith.
After Mass the children and their families shared a delightful morning tea and special Communion cake.
THE NEXT SACRAMENTAL PROGRAMME WILL TAKE PLACE AROUND MAY 2025. (DATES TO BE ADVISED). THE FIRST HOLY COMMUNION CELEBRATION WILL TAKE PLACE ON 22ND JUNE 2025, BEING THE FEAST OF THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST.
