Welcome to CPH
CPH is a richly multicultural faith community within the Diocese of Palmerston North, serving Hastings, Pakipaki, and Havelock North in the heart of Heretaunga. The former separate parishes of Sacred Heart, Hastings; St Peter Chanel, Hastings; Our Lady of Lourdes, Havelock North; and Te Whakaāhuatanga Harakoretanga o Mēri Takakau Tapu—The Immaculate Conception, Pakipaki were amalgamated in 2015 to form CPH—Te Pārihi Katorika ki Heretaunga.
CPH celebrates Mass across its churches and maintains a close connection with Madonna Maria Chapel, located on the grounds of St Mary’s Catholic School, providing a space for Mass and prayer for the St Mary’s community.
United by our vision of Living as Christ, CPH seeks to grow in relationship with God and with one another as we live out Jesus’ call to love one another as I have loved you. Our mission is to welcome, engage, love, and serve, striving to offer genuine hospitality and manaakitanga while building meaningful connections within our parish and the wider community.
Our ministries reflect the diversity of our community. Explore this section of the website to see the many ways you can share your gifts, grow in faith, and journey with others. If something inspires you, get involved—there is a place for everyone.
Whether you are new to the area, returning to the Church, or seeking a spiritual home, you are warmly welcome to join CPH as we walk together in faith and witness God’s love in our community.
